Healthy Treats for your Kids

This year for Halloween give your kids the gift of health! Make them "carve" a pumpkin into healthy exercise choices. What you need: *orange sticky notes *one green sticky note for the top How: Sit down with your child or children and come up with a list of activities that are CARDIO, STRENGTH, and CORE. Write three on each sticky note. Then have your child pick three sticky notes a night and complete the exercise on the sticky they pick. For Example: CARDIO 10 jumping jacks 10 high knees 10 butt kicks STRENGTH 10 lunges 10 sit ups 10 push ups CORE 20 leg raises 20 scissor kicks 20 seconds hold in plank If you aren't going to help motivate them to get off the coach, than who will?

Prevent Overeating Crap

Weight Loss tip of the week; PREVENT OVER EATING 1. When you're craving an unhealthy food, tell yourself that you have to eat a healthy snack before you can have the unhealthy food. Eating the healthy food first will hopefully mean that you will eat less of the unhealthy food in the end because the healthy food will help to fill your stomach.
